Gay Lindsay

Gay Lindsay grew up in Lakewood, CO where
she attended Lakewood High School and Idaho
Springs High School. She trained on both
high school teams and was also a cheerleader her
senior year. She then attended Brigham
Young University on an academic and gymnastics
scholarships and graduated
with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education
from BYU. She taught in the public schools for
three years, teaching P.E., the gymnastics team,
and the drill team. In 1990, Gay bought her
first gym in Aiken, S.C. where she had been
teaching gymnastics for the past four years and
in 1992 she moved here to Denver, CO where she
founded Gymnastika. She has taught all
ages and levels from the young preschooler to
the Level 10 gymnast training for Regionals and
Nationals. Gay has had over 38 years of
experience in the sport of gymnastics as a
coach, judge and gym owner. She has trained
numerous state and regional champions from Level
5 to Level 10 and is also USAG safety certified. |

Grigoriy Buchkovskiy

|
Grigoriy Buchkovskiy was born in Donetsk,
Ukraine. There he trained to become an Elite
level gymnast. In 1972 he took 1st place on
Vault at the Ukrainian National Championships
and in 1977 he placed 1st All-Around in the USSR
National Army Championships.
In 1977 he started teaching gymnastics. In
Ukraine he had several national and world
champions. He became a coach on the Ukrainian
National Team in 2000 where he taught students
that became Olympians.
In 2001 he became an International Brevet Judge
(these are the judges that judge the Olympics).
He has been in the United States since 2002,
where he first taught at the Houston Gymnastics
Academy as the Assistant Coach to the Men’s
Gymnastics Program. There he taught Todd Thorton,
Sean Golden, and Sean Townsend. Since then he
has taught in Colorado and Virginia and has had
several regional and national qualifiers. He is USAG safety certified. |

Julie Blackburn

Julie Blackburn grew up in Golden, CO and
was a gymnast herself for 17 years. She
competed as a Level 10 gymnast and placed
Regionally. Julie graduated from
Green Mountain High School and then went on to
attend Regis University where she received her Bachelor
of Science in Biology and her
Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Julie has been teaching gymnastics for over
14 years and has taught the preschool age child
up to the optional competitive level. She
currently teaches the theragym classes and is
USAG safety certified. |

LeAnne Laitinen
|

LeAnne Laitinen grew up in Golden, CO and
was a gymnast herself for 13 years. She
competed as a Level 10 gymnast and then went on
to attend Brigham Young University on a gymnastics scholarship.
Due to health problems, she had to stop
competing gymnastics and became interested in
dance. She performed with the BYU ballroom
dance team and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance.
LeAnne has taught from the preschool age
child through the team level and is our dance
and choreographer instructor. She enjoys a
variety of dance styles, however her favorite is
ballroom, preferably the Latin. |

Alex Moauro

Alex Moauro grew up in Golden, CO and has a
love for the sport of gymnastics. She has been a
gymnast herself and competed as a Level 8
gymnast and as a high school gymnast for
Lakewood High School. She recently graduated
from Golden High School
and is now currently attending Regis University. |

Tamas Prileszky

Tamas Prileszky attends the Colorado School
of Mines and currently teaches our boys
recreational classes. He was a gymnast himself
and attended Sundance Dance and Gymnastics in
Monument, CO where he competed in the Men's USAG
program. |
