Thera-Gym is a gymnastics class specifically
offered for those children with sensory
disorders for ages six years of age and older.
It is a 60 minutes class, offered one or two
days a week. This class encourages children to
participate in the sport of gymnastics and
progress at their own level without the
comparison of other children. This class is a
gymnastics class, not an alternative to therapy.
They will increase their core, upper and lower
body strength, coordination, body awareness, and
spatial orientation in an athletic environment
without the discouragement. This class is taught
by a licensed physical therapist. |
